Screening of Stony Paths, Winner of the Golden Apricot 2016 Festival
Next Sunday AGBU YP is screening Stony Paths, the winner of the Golden Apricot 2016 award for Best Armenian Documentary.
We have invited the director of Stony Paths Arnaud Khayadjanian to have a meet-and-greet with you. Moreover, Sinan Can from Bloedbroeders is invited to give his insights on the documentary. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with both Sinan and Arnaud.
About the Stony Paths
Stony Paths is the story of a walk across Anatolia. Arnaud Khayadjanian starts a trek in Turkey, on the land of his forefathers who survived the Armenian Genocide. Starting from a painting, from encounters and from accounts by his relatives, he goes on exploring the little known issue of the Righteous, all these anonymous people who saved lives in 1915.
About the director
Arnaud Khayadjanian will visit Amsterdam for the screening In Amsterdam. Arnaud Khayadjanian is a French director with Armenian origins. In 2012, he directed “LOST HORIZONS” a short film screened in 22 international festivals. It won the Best Actor prize in Mulhouse and the Best Movie award in Fenacies International Festival, in Uruguay. In 2014, he adapted a French play into a short film entitled “BAD GIRL” which has been viewed 1.3 million times by streaming. “BAD GIRL” has been selected in 15 international festivals including Oscar Qualifying UPPSALA and it won both Vimeo Prize and Jury Prize in Sundance Channel Contest.
