AGBU Young Professionals – Making it Count for Two Decades

Established in 1995 in Los Angeles, the AGBU Young Professionals (YP) has grown exponentially in two decades to become the largest network of its kind, bringing together young Armenian professionals from all walks of life to serve the greater good. Upholding its mission to preserve and promote the Armenian identity and heritage, the YP Network is comprised of thirty dynamic YP groups and partners, which offer a range of educational, cultural and social activities to a global audience of 17,000.

In 2014, the YP Network welcomed new groups and partners in Geneva, Istanbul, and Belgium; experienced a revitalization in Austria and Washington, D.C.; and raised over $48,000 for the Humanitarian Emergency Relief Fund for Syrian Armenians, the American University of Armenia and other important causes. With total giving since its inception surpassing $567,000, YP Greater New York raised the most funds in 2014 and is the highest contributor to date.

This year, the YP Network is already actively engaged, supporting local efforts to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, while making plans to attend the 15th Anniversary Winter Gala Weekend in San Francisco this month, the AGBU 88th General Assembly in Yerevan this March, and FOCUS hosted by YP Toronto this July.
